Mini-Residency Course:
A Practical Approach to Complex Restorative Treatment

Have you ever hesitated to treat a patient with complex restorative needs because you were unsure where to start or whether you could end up with a lasting, high quality result? This course was designed to give you the knowledge and the skills you need to confidently treatment plan and perform almost any restorative case.

The course is given in three parts, with each part building on the one before. You can take just part one or the first two or all three. An explanation of the course follows:


Part One: Introduction to the Mini-Residency
October 9+10, 1998
Columbus, OH

This two day course serves as an introduction to the mini-residency and focuses on the diagnostic and treatment planning phase of complex restorative treatment. A step by step system of examination, treatment planning and patient treatment will be presented that takes the guesswork out of the process. Special attention will be given to complex situations frequently encountered such as:

SEVERELY WORN DENTITIONS
DIFFICULT ESTHETIC REQUIREMENTS
PERIODONTAL CASES
TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DISORDERS
COMPLETE OCCLUSAL RECONSTRUCTIONS

Clinical tips, liberal use of case examples, and state of the art technique on fabrication of provisionals, intra-oral imaging, all ceramic restorations , lasers and more give the participant information that can be put to immediate use in any practice and sets the stage for parts 2 and 3 of the course (for which this course is a prerequisite).

Part Two: Hands-on Mini-Residency
Winter, 1998
Columbus, OH


Part Two of the course consisits of four 2-day sessions for those who wish hands-on experience and more in-depth information in the techniques presented in Part One. An well organized series of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on clinical exercizes teaches the participant all of the techniques needed to perform the diagnostic and treatment procedures needed to do complex restorative cases.

Part Three: Hands-on Mini-Residency
Spring thru fall, 1998
Columbus, OH


Part Three of the course consisits of eight 2 day sessions in which the participant actually performs a complex restorative case under the supervision and instruction of the course faculty.
This allows the participant to "put it all togther" and apply all that has been learned previously to an actual treatment situation and see how it really can work.
